Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. She is professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using uppercase letters in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, came out in May 2015 on Decca Records to great approval from music journalists and media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are just two of her most well-known recordings. Katy Perry posted a video where she was announcing her endorsement of Runaway. The endorsement earned her some attention. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is finding an old grand piano hidden in the attic. It was awe-inspiring to see its capabilities. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. He urged her not to pursue music solely for pleasure or as a means of development but instead, she was encouraged to explore it. In order to do so she wrote her first songs that were her own creations. She credits renowned composers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as influences as well as an appreciation for the style of Bjork. Her mother had told her the songs she composed might not gain fame for her rather to help individuals to recognize the value of themselves and their impact on our world at large, she began playing them on stage. When she began playing the piano, she was just six and started writing songs by the time she was nine. The family did not know until the age of fourteen. Aurora was not a goal. Her sole passion is writing music. Music is her most preferred way of feeling something.
