Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist, and fights with the UFC flyweight division. She is older than her fellow UFC Fighter and previous UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. She first made an appearance in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the tournament and defeated Suzane Mill in the finals with a unanimous verdict. Antonina followed it up and received a silver award in 2007, and a bronze in 2008, a gold medal in the year 2011 and the title of year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia started her professional career in 2003. She won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships 2012 along with the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships 2016, and the WMC World Championships as well as Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimous decision. Antonina shevchenko fought her first professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She won via TKO during the 2nd round. She went on to win her 2 next fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships, 2003. This gave her the record of 3-0 in MMA. Shevchenko was absent from MMA in order to concentrate on the kickboxing. She made her return with a win against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui's fight in a unified decision. She defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 by a unanimous decision. In 2018, she resigned from the league and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina made use of her formidable strike techniques in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. The result was that Antonina was awarded an UFC contract.
